Gender Affirming Care

Gender Affirming Care is Suicide Prevention. This statement is core to everything we do. That's why we partner with Spectrum Outfitters and Insert Here Prosthetics to provide FREE gender affirming care items such as Binders, Packers, and Packing Underwear. We also have a huge selection of clothes, accessories and makeup that has been kindly donated by you, our local community. All these items are free to take, no questions asked, for anyone in the LGBTQIA+ community that might otherwise not be able to afford such items.

The clothes are also available to allies for a small donation. This money goes into our Trans Fund which helps us buy more gender affirming care items!

Sexual Health Support

Thanks to The Eddystone Trust, we now have condoms, lube and dental dams available for anyone to have for free, no questions asked. There are a wide variety of sizes and flavours, along with leaflets about saftey, and STI's.

We are also working on a research paper, funded by The Wellcome Trust and supported by Bath Spa University, to look into the cross over between queer and disabled sexual experience. Keep an eye out for call outs for participants, and our final research which will be published towards the end of 2025.

Disability Support

Around 86% of the Queer Out Loud community considers themselves disabled and/or neurodivergent. This is a huge amount, and a factor that we focus on with everything we do.

We have free walking sticks, stim toys, and crutches available to take or borrow in our shed. We are also trying to work with mobility aid manufacturers to get any 'misprint' stock which they may otherwise ditch.

These items may not be perfect for you, but they can help you until you raise the funds to buy whatever does suit you best!
